Hi, I’m Millicent.

Owner of Woven Willows! I am based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I have been capturing growing families for over 10 years. What started as a passion for documenting authentic moments (formally known as Native Bloom Photography) has grown into a calling to support families through some of life's most transformative experiences.

My journey into this work was born from my own experiences with postpartum depression and anxiety after the birth of my first child. Through healing, growth, and a deep desire to support other families, I found my way into birth work. Today I have the privilege of serving families not only as a photographer but as a birth and postpartum doula, providing compassionate support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

I believe every family deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether I am documenting your journey through photographs, holding space during labor, or helping you navigate those early days with a new baby, my goal is to help you feel cared for every step of the way.

While I'm not working with your family, you'll find me spending time with my own. I am married to a completely amazing man and together we have three children-- along with our two beloved black labs and a flock of hilarious backyard chickens. I love coffee, antiquing, and reading historical fiction. Can't find me? Don't worry, I am on my back porch. My most favorite place.

Whether you're welcoming your first baby or adding another little one to your family, I strive to create a relaxed, judgement-free experience where you can be fully present. I would be honored to support and document your story, capturing the beauty, strength and connection that make it uniquely yours.

I can't wait to meet you.
